Surgery
Dr.
O'Dell, a native of Kansas City, Mo., grew up in Grand Junction.
After his medical and surgical training, he returned to Grand Junction
in 1987 to open his general surgical practice.
"Both patients and physicians benefit from Mesa County's great medical
services and very strong medical community," he says, "This is also a
great place to raise a family. We're surrounded by healthy
outdoor activities, and western Colorado people are very friendly and
sincere."
Dr. O'Dell and his wife, Gina, a registered nurse, raised five
children. Three are following medical careers, one is a business
consultant, and one is majoring in natural resource management.
Dr. O'Dell is passionate about bringing the best care to the Grand
Valley by serving previously as Chief of Staff, Chief of Surgery,
Trauma Director and a member of the Board of Trustees at Community
Hospital.
Dr. O'Dell raises quarter horses and commercial cattle, and is a hunter
and fisherman. He donates consultation work to the Marillac
Clinic for low-income families in Grand Junction.
