General
Surgery & Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
Dr.
Baldwin was born in New Mexico and raised in North Dakota. He
enjoys performing surgery because it's an extension of something he
began doing at age 3 - taking things apart. "It wasn't until I
was 10 that I began to put things back together and actually fix them!"
he says.
Before joining Surgical Associates of Western Colorado, Dr. Baldwin
served as Chief of Surgery at Galena Stauss Hospital in Galena, Ill.,
and Southwest Health Center in Platteville, Wis., and was a staff
surgeon at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa.
Dr. Baldwin and his wife Diane, a registered nurse, have two daughters
in college and are involved in The Crisis Pregnancy Center of Grand
Junction. In addition to home improvement projects, antique
furniture restoration, and auto restoration, he enjoys getting out into
the mountains on foot, snowmobile, and ATV.
